Applications Engineer Intern – Job Description

Position Summary

The Applications Engineer Intern will receive hands-on training to support the planning, design, and installation of machinery and equipment within industrial environments. This role provides exposure to technical demonstrations, system configuration, customer support, and application development within a fast-paced engineering setting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • · Perform valve rebuilds and calibrations of ATEQ instruments.
  • · Learn to perform both onsite and offsite demonstrations of ATEQ instruments.
  • · Prepare formal price quotes and technical quotations.
  • · Complete Technical Data Sheets for new instrument orders.
  • · Conduct customer feasibility studies.
  • · Create detailed technical data reports.
  • · Set up instrumentation onsite and assist with run-off activities.
  • · Assist the sales team with setting up and executing customer demonstrations.
  • · Provide onsite support to customers experiencing application issues.
  • · Receive training to support the special projects team as needed.

Education & Experience

  • · Enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related degree program.
  • · Currently enrolled in the Mechatronics program at the a college local to Livonia, Mi
  • · Some level of experience within an Application Engineering environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • · Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • · Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
