Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for nearly 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.
The Bachelor or Associate's Level Social Work Intern will become familiar with the Zepf Center’s mission, vision, and services through an array of trainings and shadowing opportunities. The Intern will gain an understanding of ethical practices and the Social Work code of conduct in day-to-day examples. The intern will work closely with supervisor and other staff to gain knowledge of the agency programming as well as basic social work skills. The person in this position provides services within Zepf facilities and, when appropriate, in the client's natural environment. HIPAA regulations will be observed at all times to protect the patient's privacy and maintain confidentiality.
