Role: The Business Analyst works in close collaboration with the Product Managers, other Analysts, Team Leads and reports to the Director, Global Delivery. He or she is primarily responsible for translating user needs into functional requirements. The Business Analyst must have a keen eye for detail, and excellent organizational and priority management skills.

Below, is a brief description of the expected product the candidate will be working on:

Equisoft/centralize is a powerful back-office insurance agency management system that offers our clients a way to connect carriers' feeds, paramedical data, clients, policies, and more to a single platform. Our workbench solution helps our customers work smarter, provides unique insights, and makes it possible to automate their business processes.

Your Day with Equisoft

• Carry out functional analyses of new technological solutions based on user requirements
• Work closely with the UX designers, the developers, the product owner and other analysts for documenting the functionals specificities
• Contribute to the design of new roadmap functionalities
• Contribute to user interface design in collaboration with the designers
• Support the development team during the sprint (answer questions, participate in informal demos, review Test cases, etc.)
• Prepare and carry out functional tests
• Act like the Product Owner Proxy when needed
• Participate in planning sessions with the Development Team and Product Manager to define next sprint priorities
• Create the needed Jira tasks for the sprint and partner with the Technical Architect and Team Lead

Requirements:

Technical

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology or College Diploma
• 5+ years in a Functional Analyst, System Analyst or Business Analyst role
• Experience with the Agile analyze tools (User story mapping)
• Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize activities effectively
• Strong problem-solving and detail-oriented skills
• Excellent French & English communication skills, written and spoken
• Working experience with a design team (UI/UX) (asset)
• Experience working in the insurance or finance industry (asset)
