OVERVIEW
This role is focused on turning data into clear, actionable insights through dashboards and reporting. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders to understand what questions need to be answered, prepare and analyze data, and build Power BI dashboards that support decision-making.
It’s a strong mix of data analysis, visualization, and stakeholder collaboration in an Agile, team-oriented environment.
Chicago, Illinois - Remote - will need to occasionally come into the office
Rate: $67.00 / hourly (W2)
6 month contract (potential to extend or convent)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Translate business questions into data-driven analysis and reporting solutions
- Design and build dashboards using Power BI and other visualization tools
- Extract, clean, and prepare data for analysis (primarily using SQL and Python)
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business decisions
- Partner with stakeholders to improve usability and effectiveness of dashboards
- Optimize and automate reporting processes for scalability and repeatability
- Document data flows, systems, and processes
- Support and train end users on reporting tools and self-service analytics
- Continuously improve data visualization techniques and reporting quality
QUALIFICATIONS
Must Have
- 8–10 years of experience in data analytics / data visualization roles
- Banking or financial services experience required

Strong hands-on experience with:
- SQL (data extraction, transformation)
- Python (data manipulation / analysis)
- Power BI (dashboard development, visualization)
- Experience working with large datasets and building scalable reporting solutions
- Ability to translate business needs into technical/data solutions
- Strong data storytelling and stakeholder communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with SAS
- Familiarity with GitHub (version control)
- Experience using Jira or working in Agile environments
