The Selling Partner Services (SPS) team operates the business, technology and seller services that make Amazon the best place on Earth for 3rd party sellers to start and grow a global business. We are looking for a Business Analyst to help lead the Analytics and Automation within the FP&A team within the Fee Finance Organization. In this role you will partner closely with finance stakeholders, fee strategy, and teams that support lowering costs and improving seller experience.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical background, track record of effective business partnership, and ability to deliver results in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and dynamic environment. The candidate must have the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders to understand topline and cost drivers, and deliver high quality insights to senior leaders to influence fee strategy.
We are looking for someone with expertise in data analytics skills, strong business acumen, an ownership mindset and ability to clearly communicate. In this role, you will leverage our data to drive efficiencies, provide key data-driven insights, enable new opportunities and innovate on behalf of business customers, in close partnership with both finance and business teams. You will manage and execute entire components of large projects from start to finish including data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and modeling, problem solving, and communication of insights and recommendations. You will also support building metrics and reporting on them to senior leadership.
A successful candidate will develop a strong understanding of our business and make data-driven conclusions. They will be comfortable with ambiguity while working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. They will also continuously learn new systems, tools, and industry best practices to help design new tools that help our team automate, and accelerate analytics.
Key job responsibilities
• Oversee business and finance reporting and analytics
• Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning
• Build and drive planning, forecasting, and reporting models
• Identify and support the automation of manual reports
• Generate actionable insights through the development of metrics, dashboards and deep dive analyses
• Communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner

A day in the life
As the Business Analyst, you will work closely with multiple business and finance teams including fee strategy, fee science, product, economics, and operations, to shape the analytics to track business performance. You will help the team identify growth and profit opportunities, partnering with the business teams to develop strategy for a global multi-Billion dollar business.

- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with SQL
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- 4+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

- MBA, or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent

- Experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis, or experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
