Position Summary

As an Engineering Intern, you will participate in an immersive program focused on Photomask Manufacturing and Metrology. You will shadow process engineers, attend technical meetings, and gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art metrology systems. This role provides a unique opportunity to support tool verification and engineering operations while performing data analysis to drive manufacturing excellence.

Location: Photronics – Brookfield, CT (US). This is an on-site position.

Duration: 10 -12 weeks 

Responsibilities

  • Shadow experienced process engineers and participate in technical meetings to understand complex manufacturing workflows.

  • Gain hands-on experience with metrology systems and support tool verification activities.

  • Monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) results and conduct Gage Studies to ensure measurement system reliability.

  • Utilize Statistica or similar tools to perform data analysis in support of engineering operations.

  • Contribute to engineering reports by documenting analysis findings and system performance metrics.

Qualifications (knowledge, Skill & Qualification) 

  • Ability to identify patterns and trends within SPC data and metrology results to support data-driven decision-making.

  • Ability to present technical data analysis and tool verification findings clearly to cross-functional engineering teams.

  • Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and strong analytical abilities.

  • Data analysis skills with Statistica or similar software tools.

  • Basic knowledge of Metrology systems and Gage Studies.

  • Strong technical reporting abilities.

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical), Physics, or other STEM-related fields.
  • Junior or Senior students preferred.
