As an Event Project Manager at Spartan Race, you'll be at the forefront of the backend planning of our events. Through the management of internal and external stakeholders, your successes will bring Spartan closer to our mission of changing 100 million lives.


DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage event related planning for specific events from the time the venue contract is executed through when the Event Execution team is onsite and post event follow up.
  • Plan events following a specific timeline and checklist and meet specific key deliverables and reporting dates, often planning multiple events at once.
  • Own event budget from event handoff through post-event reconciliation, working with other members of the planning team and department leads to ensure accuracy. 
  • Own venue relationships, including from event handoff through post-event reconciliation and renegotiating existing contracts.
  • Work with various department leads and liaisons in the areas of Product Design, Festival Planning, Logistics, Build Operations, Procurement, Finance & Accounting, and more, based on deadlines and planning checklists.
  • Work with external stakeholders, including permitting offices, venue owners, emergency services, and others.
  • Manage event timelines and prioritize deliverables across several events to ensure all parties involved with the advanced planning of events are meeting deadlines.
  • Drive continuity between the Planning Team and Event Execution Team by ensuring the efficient transfer of event plans and other critical information.
  • Support all event execution efforts by providing event-specific planning information as needed.
  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders to relay status updates or planning changes.

  • A college degree is not required.
  • Prior experience in event planning or project management is not required.

$50k-$60k/yr
