Summary

This Internship is a unique opportunity for current undergrad and graduate students interested in the Finance career path to have hands on experience and make contributions towards current and future growth of our company. The role will work full time over the summer and potential to continue part time during the school year. This internship is designed to provide you with a positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. Under the supervision of an Accounting Manager, this position will collect and perform financial analyses to support and measure business unit results. This position will also compile complete and accurate data for reporting performance of the business, identify trends and recommendations for improvement and support the Finance team in the preparations of monthly reporting packages. 

Job Duties

    • Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation and/or review of journal entries, accruals, and reclasses.
    • Complete balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses; investigate and resolve variances with appropriate documentation.
    • Study and collect data to support cost of business activity analysis (e.g., inventory, labor, and overhead) and ensure alignment between operational data and financial results.
    • Partner with AP/AR, Payroll/HR, Operations, and other teams to ensure accurate coding and timely resolution of issues impacting the general ledger.
    • Support internal controls and audit readiness by maintaining documentation, responding to requests, and helping drive process improvements.
    • Maintain and improve close and reporting processes to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
    • Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance; identify trends and recommend improvements.
    • Support annual budget, reforecast cycles, and long-range planning; build and maintain models, templates, and assumptions.

Qualifications & Preferences 

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in business with an Accounting, Economics or Finance major from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum Grade Point Average: 3.0
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and particularly strong Excel skills and PowerBI skills
  • Available to work full-time during Summer 2026. Hours will be flexible to accommodate school schedule with part-time work during the school year
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in work
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work reliability and independently as well as part of a team. 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Prior internships or relevant work experience a plus
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industry knowledge desired
