Status:   Part-Time

Beginning Date: June 1, 2026

Qualifications:

1. To comply with school and school board policies and regulations.
2. To work cooperatively with the total staff.
3. To relate positively to parents and other community representatives.
4. To demonstrate professional growth, etc.

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Promotes the mission of education-based athletics at Silver Creek High School.
2. Plans and conducts well organized practices.
3. Develops and implements clear expectations and standards for student-athletes, and maintains discipline in a fair and consistent manner.
4. Shows enthusiasm, good ideals, and exhibits a positive attitude while fostering team spirit and morale.
5. Interacts and works cooperatively with parents, teachers, school administrators, and support groups.
6. Follows the rules and regulations of the school, the conference, and the IHSAA.
7. Exhibits appropriate sideline conduct towards staff, players, officials, and spectators.
8. Team performance is consistent with the quality of athletes.
9. Monitors student's academic achievement, attendance, classroom behavior and school conduct throughout the school year and supports interventions when necessary.
10. Supervises athletes and athletic areas of responsibilities at all times during the season.
11. Encourages multi-sport athletes.
12. Encourages use of a Strength and Conditioning Program
13. Provides all necessary forms required by the athletic office in a timely manner (IHSAA paperwork, rosters, game results, etc.).
14. Conducts end-of-season meetings with team and individuals to discuss strengths, areas for improvement, out of-season programs, college or future plans, etc.
15. Supervise the use of equipment in your sport, develop a written annual inventory, and make recommendations for purchases to the Athletic Director.
16. Cooperates with the maintenance/custodial staff in appropriate and timely manner about the care of their facility. Provides assistance as needed in the preparation and maintenance of their athletic facility.
17. Works closely with and supports the athletic trainers by following all procedures and recommendations of athletic trainers and doctors, while also following return to play protocol.
18. Represents Silver Creek High School in a professional manner in demeanor, language, and conduct
19. All other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
