Intern - Communications

POSITION TITLE:         COMMUNICATIONS INTERN        

LOCATION:                   BANGOR I ON-SITE POSITION

REPORTS TO:              SUPERVISOR, COMMUNICATIONS & BRAND         

POSITION STATUS:      NON-EXEMPT

SCHEDULE:                  MONDAY-FRIDAY, 25-35 hours a week expected.

Versant Power provides an immersive and informative internship program for college students to experience firsthand what it is like to work at an organization that speaks to safety, workforce engagement and a common goal of providing exceptional service to our customers. This is a hands-on experience where students are advocated to learn, grow and engage with the organization.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

• Participate in weekly Communications Team meetings.
• Join and help members of the team at company-sponsored community events throughout our service territory.
• Conduct historical research on the company to use in this year’s 100th anniversary celebration materials.
• Gather and create social media content.
• Aid in internal communications deliverables such as newsletter content, posters, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• You must be a currently enrolled college student in positive academic standing.
• Strong communications skills – verbal, written, and listening, are a must.
• Position requires mental and visual concentration.
• Position requires excellent oral and written communication skills.
