 The Shipping & Receiving Intern supports the Shipping & Receiving team and Materials Management in maintaining stockroom inventories, receiving materials from suppliers, shipping product to customers, and kitting jobs for the Production team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in supply chain, logistics, and warehouse operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment.  


  As an intern, you will: 

  • Assist in preparing documentation, maintaining records, and coordinating logistics for product shipments 
  • Support scheduling and coordination of domestic and international freight forwarder transactions 
  • Help prepare shipping paperwork and complete shipping transactions in the ERP system 
  • Prepare boxes with appropriate labels for shipment as required 
  • Assist in creating pick worksheets (kits) for open job shop orders 
  • Receive raw material from vendors and help maintain stockroom inventories 
  • Participate in cycle counts as required 
Requirements
  • Eagerness to learn ERP systems and accurately record transactions 
  • High degree of attention to detail and accuracy in all job responsibilities 
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting, standing for extended periods) 
  • Strong organizational skills and a task-driven work style 
  • Exposure to or interest in ITAR regulations is a plus 

Requirements 

Education & Eligibility: 

  • Must be a U.S. Person 
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a high school, vocational program, or post-secondary institution 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (or actively pursuing one) 
  • No prior experience required — a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are what matter most
