Hours: Approximately 40 per week; Monday-Friday: 8:00-5:00

Are you a self-motivated business student with strong communication and critical thinking skills? Do you have a basic understanding of accounting and a desire to pursue a career in banking, auditing or as a CPA? Are you interested in interning with a publicly traded company committed to your community and dedicated to your professional development? As an Internal Audit Intern, you will:   

  • Complete departmental internal audit testing.
  • Participate in interviews with clients, execute audit programs, analyze audit evidence, and document audit work performed and conclusions reached, discussing any audit issues with the VP, Internal Auditor. 
  • Complete detail audit testing to substantiate the accuracy of SOX 404 Financial and Operational controls.


As an intern for Lake City Bank, you will work with a mentor to gain valuable hands-on experience while learning key banking principles that set a foundation for success and equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary for you to thrive in your career. 

Basic Qualifications Include:   

  • College enrollment required. Two plus years of college attendance with business related focus preferred.
  • General administrative and clerical skills (filing, typing, data entry, etc.)
  • Personal computer competency with advanced experience in Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
  • Understanding of bank procedures and policies.
