Job Summary
Cantex Continuing Care Network is a Texas‑based healthcare organization providing skilled nursing, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, and senior care services. We are seeking a motivated, tech‑savvy IT Intern to support our Information Technology department. This hands‑on internship provides exposure to IT support, hardware/software troubleshooting, systems administration, cybersecurity fundamentals, and infrastructure projects in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
• Strong communication and analytical problem‑solving skills
• Willingness to learn and work in a team‑oriented IT environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows/Mac OS
• Experience with help desk ticketing systems is a plus
Essential Functions
• Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues (desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices)
• Support routine IT maintenance, software updates, and system checks
• Help maintain and update IT documentation, knowledge bases, and process guides
• Participate in system installations, configurations, and upgrades
• Collaborate with IT team members on small‑scale technical projects and infrastructure tasks
• Provide basic technical support to end users and escalate issues as needed
