About this Role
The IT Systems & Network Manager is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the organization’s technical infrastructure, systems, and user environments. This role provides advanced technical support, assists with project planning and system improvements, and ensures reliable operation of networks, hardware, and software across the company.
This position serves as a technical resource capable of covering multiple IT support functions when needed and works closely with leadership, administrative teams, and external IT partners to maintain efficient and secure technology operations.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining the stability, security, and scalability of the organization’s technology environment ensuring employees have the tools and systems they need to operate efficiently and effectively.
IT Operations & Support
- Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues across systems, networks, and software
- Provide advanced support for complex hardware, software, and connectivity challenges
- Respond to system outages and network failures to minimize downtime
- Track, analyze, and document incidents, including potential security risks
- Manage user accounts and oversee onboarding/offboarding processes
- Support system updates, hardware upgrades, and ongoing maintenance
- Perform secure data wiping and assist with equipment lifecycle management
- Conduct backup testing to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness
Project & Technical Development
- Assist with project planning, technical assessments, and implementation estimates
- Support infrastructure upgrades and continuous system improvements
- Develop scripts or automation tools to enhance efficiency (preferred)
- Collaborate with external IT vendors to resolve complex issues
- Maintain and improve technical documentation and procedures
Network & Infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and support network equipment and connectivity issues
- Assist with network installations, upgrades, and performance optimization
- Apply knowledge of cabling standards (Cat 5 vs. Cat 3) and performance capabilities (up to 1 Gbps)
- Plan cable routes using blueprints and network diagrams
- Diagnose connectivity issues related to cabling or installation errors
Cabling & Installation
- Support structured cabling installations and maintenance
- Run and pull Cat 5 cables through walls, ceilings, and conduits
- Install wall plates and patch panels
- Label, document, test, and certify cable runs
- Terminate cables using RJ45 connectors (T568A/T568B standards)
- Ensure clean, organized cable management
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficiency with cabling tools, equipment, and testing devices
- Working knowledge of safety standards and structured cabling best practices
- Ability to support reliable, organized, and scalable network installations
Tools & Equipment Experience
- Hand tools (cable strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, pliers)
- Power tools (cable pullers, drills)
- Testing equipment (cable testers, multimeters, tone generators, RJ45 tools)
Safety & Compliance
- Understanding of building codes and installation safety standards
- Knowledge of PVC, riser-rated, and plenum cable handling
- Adherence to best practices to minimize interference and ensure scalability
