Junior Business Analyst

Location: San Antonio, TX
Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: $45/hr

Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Business Analyst / Control Management Analyst to support control monitoring and complaint management activities within a financial services environment. This role will focus on executing control procedures, monitoring consumer complaints, and supporting operational risk and compliance processes within consumer lending and marketing operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience in financial services, control monitoring, complaint analysis, or risk/compliance operations and be comfortable working with reporting tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and monitor operational controls related to consumer lending and marketing activities.

  • Review and analyze consumer complaints to identify legitimate issues and ensure proper resolution.

  • Support complaint monitoring processes and escalation procedures.

  • Assist in identifying and documenting UDAAP-related complaints and regulatory concerns.

  • Develop and maintain procedures and process documentation related to control monitoring activities.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support quality control and compliance monitoring efforts.

  • Use Tableau and Microsoft Office tools to review reports, analyze data, and support operational reporting.

  • Work closely with existing Control Advisors and Quality Control teams for training and guidance.

  • Support ongoing process improvements and control execution activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 5–6 years of experience in control management, operational risk, compliance, or business analysis within financial services.

  • Experience supporting control monitoring, control execution, or complaint management processes.

  • Background in banking, consumer lending, or financial services.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience reviewing operational data and identifying issues or trends.

  • Proficiency with Tableau, Excel, and Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with consumer complaints or regulatory compliance processes.

  • Familiarity with UDAAP regulations or consumer protection guidelines.

  • Experience creating procedures, documentation, or operational processes.

  • Previous titles such as:

    • Business Analyst

    • Business Advisor

    • Process Owner

    • Control Management Analyst

    • Risk / Compliance Analyst
