Job Title: Junior Business Analyst Location: Burlington, ON Department: Business Development Reports To: Director of Business Development
Summary: We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Business Analyst to support the Business Development team across the full RFX lifecycle (RFI, RFQ, RFP), market research, data analysis, and opportunity development. This role is ideal for an early‑career professional with strong analytical skills and an interest in commercial strategy and proposal development. This role offers exposure to business development strategy, commercial decision-making, and client engagement, with opportunities for growth into senior analyst or business development roles over time.
Responsibilities: RFX & Commercial Support
Assist in preparing and submitting RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and related documentation.
Coordinate inputs from sales, operations, finance, and SMEs.
Ensure submissions are accurate, compliant, and on time.
Maintain and improve templates, pricing tools, and standard documents.
Market Research & Opportunity Development
Monitor public and private RFX opportunities and procurement pipelines.
Research potential clients, partners, and competitors.
Maintain opportunity trackers and bid pipelines.
Support bid/no‑bid assessments.
Business & Data Analysis
Analyse pricing, cost structures, and vendor data.
Prepare summaries, comparisons, and recommendations for management.
Track win/loss outcomes and key BD metrics.
Support basic forecasting, budgeting, and dashboard updates.
Process & Documentation
Document workflows, processes, and requirements.
Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
Support development of SOPs and best practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Liaise between BD, technical, and operational teams.
Prepare meeting agendas, notes, and follow‑ups.
Support alignment across timelines, deliverables, and scope.
Requirements:
0–3 years in business analysis, operations, proposals, or related co-ops / internships.
Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, or related field.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Legally authorised to work in Canada.
Preferred
Experience in professional services, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or recruitment.
Familiarity with pricing models and basic financial concepts.
Experience with CRM, ERP, or proposal tools.
Exposure to Power BI or Tableaux
RFX‑related experience is an asset
