POSITION SUMMARY: The Junior Developer is responsible for supporting a variety of business system developments. The position will primarily focus on creating automation and building projects but will also provide support to other Digital Transformation Office (DTO) team activities. Success in this role will be demonstrated by delivering critical code and automation insights to help ensure applications are up-to-date and fully functional.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
· Analyze and create solutions for system and application needs
· Review existing applications and recommend improvements
· Support new product roadmap in collaboration with DTO leadership, business stakeholders and project teams
· Provide regular status updates on project deliverables
· Technical design and development of new solutions
· Develop standards for design, coding and testing
· Consult with users to determine system functional specifications.
· Design, document, analyze, create, test and modify solutions, including prototypes, based on and related to user or system design specifications.
· As a member of the DTO department, actively contribute to and support Southwest Key’s mission.
· Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
· Provide support and back-up to the System Administrators as needed.
· Compile reports from various database systems.
· May travel to various events and program locations to assist teams as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
· Graduation from an accredited College or University with a undergraduate degree in Computer Science, or a related field.
· 1-2 years of experience demonstrating technical approaches used to deliver DTO products and services to large client organizations or 3-5 years’ experience in automation creation and social service operational service.
· 1-2 years of experience communicating with both the customer and development communities on automation issues.
· Proven knowledge of basic coding languages such as HTML5, ASP.NET, C#, PHP, C++ and JavaScript.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to solve problems and utilize critical thinking skills to address challenges.
· Attention to detail, strong organizational and writing skills.
· Ability to work independently to effectively manage time and projects.
· Must have ability to manage work on multiple projects while maintaining sensitivity to deadlines.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps.
· Knowledge of Cloud Services.
· Knowledge of Operational Efficiencies.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation and other office equipment. Frequent bending and twisting. Must be able to lift up-to 10 pounds.
