About Us
We’re ThreatMate, and we’re on a mission to make cybersecurity faster, smarter, and more MSP-friendly. Our platform helps managed service providers understand their full attack surface, continuously test it, and actually fix what matters — not just generate more reports.
We’re building a new kind of security product: AI-first, practical, and outcomes-driven. And we’re looking for an early-career Software Developer who’s excited to learn, build, and grow alongside us.
This role is a great fit for someone who’s graduated in the last few years (or equivalent hands-on experience), loves shipping real software, and is actively exploring how AI can make them a better, faster engineer.
What You’ll Be Working On:
- Writing and maintaining production-grade Go code across our core systems in GCP.
- Building systems that automate security testing, misconfiguration detection, and AI-assisted decision-making.
- Developing API integrations with platforms like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Windows, and other SaaS tools.
- Collaborating closely with product and security teams to ship features quickly and iterate even faster.
These are real systems used by real customers — you’ll be contributing to production code early, with support and mentorship along the way.
What We’re Looking For:
- 1–3 years of experience building backend software
- Experience with Go, or strong backend fundamentals in another language and excitement to learn Go
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred, but AWS/Azure experience is great too)
- An AI-first mindset — you may already be:
- Using tools like Github Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT in your daily workflow
- Experimenting with prompts, automation, or small AI-powered tools
- Curious about how LLMs can improve developer productivity and product experiences
- A desire to write clean, testable, maintainable code and grow your understanding of system design
- Comfort working in a startup environment — moving fast, staying scrappy, and learning as you go
- Some familiarity with web development is a plus (JavaScript, Vue.js, or similar)
Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves, Not Must-Haves):
- Side projects, hackathon work, or experiments involving AI, automation, or LLMs
- Familiarity or interest in cybersecurity, such as vulnerability scanning, CVEs, or cloud security concepts
- Experience building or integrating tools for M365, Windows/MacOS endpoint management, or cloud configuration
- Contributions to open source, personal projects, or anything cool you want to show off

- Join a tight-knit team that cares deeply about product, craft, and impact
- Get hands-on experience building an AI-powered security platform
