About the Role
Java House Cafés is seeking a strategic, hands-on Marketing Manager to lead integrated marketing efforts across 13+ company-owned cafés as well as our licensed café operations. This role is responsible for building and executing marketing plans that drive consumer acquisition, brand loyalty, and both in-store and digital engagement. The ideal candidate is both creative and analytical, comfortable-owning campaigns end-to-end, and thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities -
Campaign Planning & Execution
- Own and manage the seasonal marketing calendar (Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall), including drink launches, national holidays, and IndyCar-related activations.
- Develop and execute localized, store-specific promotions to increase transactions, trial, and guest frequency.
- Partner with operations and product teams on marketing for new menu items and limited-time offers.
Loyalty & App Marketing
- Oversee loyalty program structure and reward strategies using the Craver platform and Square ecosystem.
- Build and launch segmented push notifications, email campaigns, and SMS marketing targeting specific user behaviors and locations.
- Drive app acquisition and conversion using paid campaigns, in-store signage, and promotional incentives.
- Manage in-app promotions (e.g., double-point days, tier bonuses) aligned with seasonal and event marketing plans.
- Collaborate with the development team to test new app features, ensure POS integration, and manage QA.
- Monitor app analytics (downloads, retention, redemption rates) and run A/B tests to optimize messaging and user experience.
- Collect user feedback and work cross-functionally to enhance app performance and guest retention.
Graphic Design & Project Management
- Develop clear creative briefs for campaigns and product launches, outlining objectives, audiences, key messages, and deliverables.
- Act as the primary liaison between marketing, operations, and design teams to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
- Create and manage project timelines, assign tasks, and ensure all assets are delivered accurately and on time.
Menu & POS Management
- Manage POS updates for new drinks and menu items, ensuring accuracy of pricing, descriptions, and system integration.
- Manage digital menu board assets and drive-thru menu board assets, ensuring content is current, on-brand, and optimized for guest clarity and conversion.
Digital Advertising & Performance Reporting
- Manage paid advertising budgets on Meta and TikTok, with an emphasis on geo-targeting to drive app downloads and café traffic.
- Build creative briefs for ad campaigns, update copy and assets based on performance insights, and manage A/B testing.
- Provide monthly and quarterly reporting on key KPIs, including sign-ups, redemptions, sales impact, and campaign ROI.
Online Listings & Reputation Management
- Maintain accurate Google Business Profile and Yelp listings for all café locations, including hours, imagery, and menus.
- Respond to customer reviews in a timely, professional manner while maintaining brand tone.
- Monitor review trends and escalate operational or service-related insights to internal teams.
- Coordinate periodic photos and videos to enhance listing visibility and customer engagement.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in retail, food & beverage, hospitality, or multi-unit environments
- Experience with loyalty platforms, mobile app marketing, and digital advertising
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Ability to analyze data, interpret insights, and present findings to leadership
- Proficiency in Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, Google Business tools, and POS systems (Square experience is a plus)
