Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client, w<\/span><\/span>e are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their Vancouver office. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in building mechanical systems design and project delivery across commercial, institutional, and healthcare sectors specializing in HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection. The successful candidate will manage multi -disciplinary project teams, liaise directly with clients, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical standards.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

  • Lead and manage the mechanical design and delivery of commercial, institutional, and healthcare building projects.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client objectives and company quality standards<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Oversee preparation of mechanical system designs including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and medical gas systems<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Collaborate closely with architects, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and intermediate mechanical designers and engineers<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Conduct regular client meetings, maintain strong client relationships, and support business development activities<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and specifications<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, ASHRAE standards, CSA standards, and healthcare design guidelines (e.g., CSA Z317)<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li>
  • Support proposal development, fee estimates, and project scope preparation.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Qualifications<\/span><\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/span><\/p>

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in British Columbia, or eligibility for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC)<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Minimum 8+ years of experience in mechanical building systems design and project management, with proven experience in commercial, institutional, and healthcare projects<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Strong understanding of local codes, standards, and healthcare facility requirements<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Proficiency with mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and related engineering tools<\/span><\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/span><\/li>
    • Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
