Onboarding Specialist

We’re excited to announce a new position within the MVA Private School team. The Onboarding Specialist handles advanced student onboarding including data management, transcript analysis, graduate processing, and state-specific scholarship administration in Arizona and Tennessee. Please note this position is also being posted externally. Internal candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Take On

In addition to the foundation you’ve built, this role takes on:

• Setting up students in Edmentum and scheduling to teachers and courses
• Analyzing transcripts and creating Educational Development Plans (EDPs)
• Assigning diagnostics and managing full record requests
• Gooru rostering and SIS data management
• Generating report cards, progress reports, and course completions
• Maintaining the Potential Graduate List and overseeing graduate processing
• Preparing State Testing Letters, Enrollment Letters, and Legal Paperwork
• Processing work permits
• Supporting audits and state compliance reporting
• Arizona & Tennessee: Scholarship communications, timeline tracking, and payment coordination

Compensation

This position offers a $1.00/hour increase over your current rate in recognition of the expanded scope and responsibilities of the role.

Reports to: Jamey Hill, Director of Private School

Executive Director: Greg Green

What We’re Looking For

• Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple student timelines
• Solid understanding of FERPA, MVA policies, and state compliance requirements (AZ, TN, IN)
• Experience with Edmentum, Genius SIS, or Gooru (preferred)
• Proactive communicator — responds within 30 minutes via Zoom/Bamboo during working hours
• Reliable remote setup with consistent availability during scheduled hours

Background Check Requirement

All candidates must successfully complete a background check and fingerprinting as a condition of employment. Background checks will be completed in Arizona and Tennessee, as well as other states as needed.
