Part Time Summer Laboratory Intern (Asbestos/PCM)

EMSL is currently seeking a Part Time Summer Laboratory Intern (Asbestos/PCM) in Carle Place, NY location. This role will support the asbestos team by performing sample preparation. 

Essential duties and Responsibilities: 
Preparation of bulk and solid materials for asbestos content.  Preparation and analysis of air samples utilizing PCM  
Assist with clerical and lab duties as needed, such as data entry, sample review, and calibration and cleaning of laboratory instrumentation/equipment
Perform QA/QC practices per company QA/QC manual 

Requirements:
Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
Must have good communication skills
Must be willing and able to travel and work some weekends and/or overtime to meet business demands

Available Shifts:
Position is Part-Time, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (training to start will be Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.)

Position is Part time, Monday to Friday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Position is Part Time, Monday to Friday 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (training to start will be Monday to Friday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.)

Position is Part Time, Tuesday to Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (training to start will be Monday to Friday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) 

Position is Part Time, Tuesday to Saturday 5:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. (training to start will be Monday to Friday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.)

This is a seasonal position, we are looking for interns to start at the end of May/beginning of June and work through August.

Pay range for this position is from $17.00 to $20.53 per hour.
