Position Description:
Role Summary: This position offers intermediate-level support to the full life cycle of natural gas construction projects, focusing in government relocation projects. As a Project Manager II, you will partner with all internal and external stakeholders to manage the project from initiation to completion. Any industry, construction project experience, CAPM or PMP certifications would be beneficial. While the responsibilities do include field/site visits, this position will be fully in-office. This posting will close on February 16th.
What You Will Do
Provides an intermediate level of full life-cycle management of natural gas construction projects.
This position is responsible for requirements gathering, project scoping, applicable internal and external stakeholder coordination, design and construction scheduling, construction management, and financial analysis.
Supports all aspects of natural gas construction projects from initiation through closure to ensure on-time delivery of service. This includes monitoring and communicating the project's deadlines, scope, budget and costs.
Develop scope, schedule and milestones for natural gas construction projects.
Develop, maintain, and improve design and construction project management policies and procedures.
Responsible for the development process, which includes reviewing construction plans, running economic evaluations, drafting contract documents, and negotiating gas installation agreements with developers as applicable.
Create communication plans for applicable internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to: developers, engineers, plumbers, site superintendents, city permitting, permitting consultants, internal engineering staff, operations, resource management, right of way, and legal.
Monitor and track progress of natural gas construction projects. Responsible for status updates which includes providing updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Review and communicate scheduling data to ensure project consistency and optimization. Resolve problems and issues, as needed.
Develop and maintain relationships with applicable internal and external stakeholders.
Provide information and assistance applicable internal and external stakeholders involved in the natural gas construction projects.
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

What You Will Need
Minimum Bachelor's Degree Construction management, engineering technology, business administration, other related field or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related experience
Knowledge of gas distribution system infrastructure design and materials, construction methods, and project durations.
Knowledge to interpret engineering construction plans, mechanical drawings, equipment specifications and rate schedules.
Experience with scheduling principles and practices.
