Summary:
The SAP Analytics Developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP BW/BI solutions to support reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams to optimize business intelligence performance, maintain data warehouse environments, and ensure system integrity. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in SAP BW/BI architecture, ABAP development, and data warehousing principles to drive continuous improvement and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage business intelligence performance optimization initiatives to ensure efficient system operation and scalability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT team members (including SAP functional analysts and infrastructure teams) to design and maintain a high-availability operational data store and data warehouse environment.
- Work with Basis support teams to provide guidance on system upgrades, support pack implementations, and related technical maintenance activities.
- Analyze and evaluate the impact of production system changes and new business requirements on the existing data architecture, ensuring system integrity and performance.
- Assess business processes to identify system-based solutions, define technical specifications for system enhancements, and assist in developing test scenarios, end-user documentation, and business process procedures.
- Contribute to continuous system improvement efforts by gathering business requirements, researching available solutions, and developing and documenting conceptual design alternatives.
- Follow established application lifecycle methodologies to ensure development activities align with project requirements, deliverables, and quality standards.
- Comply with Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures.
- Adhere to organizational safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures which include IATF, ISO, ISMS, TISAX, QMS, J-Sox, and Safety related policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience implementing and delivering SAP BW/BI solutions for reporting, online analytical processing, analytics, data mining, business performance management, and/or benchmarking.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: SAP ECC 6.0 integration, SAP BW 7.x, BEx 7.x, Enterprise Portal, ABAP Programming, and Business Objects 4.x.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with SAP ERP solutions, ideally SAP ECC 6.0.
- Experience in at least two to three full lifecycle SAP BW implementations.
- Proven ability to architect and deliver end-to-end SAP BI/BW solutions.
- Advanced expertise in configuring BW data objects and BW extractors (standard and custom) from SAP ECC 6.0.
- Strong proficiency in BEx Query Development Tool, Analysis for Office, Workbooks, and BEx Broadcasting.
- Comprehensive understanding of SAP end-to-end data flows and inter-module integrations.
- Hands-on experience in ABAP development and Web Services development.
- Experience developing calculation views and SQL scripts preferred.
- Solid knowledge of data warehousing principles and industry best practices.
- Experience with BEx Analyzer, Web Reporting, Web Application Designer, and Query Designer.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, planning, and administrative abilities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
