Overview:
We are seeking an SAP QM experienced consultant with strong end-to-end implementation experience in SAP Quality Management. The ideal candidate has proven delivery in the Energy & Utilities domain and can work effectively with business and IT stakeholders across requirements, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
Key responsibilities:
We are seeking an SAP QM experienced consultant with strong end-to-end implementation experience in SAP Quality Management. The ideal candidate has proven delivery in the Energy & Utilities domain and can work effectively with business and IT stakeholders across requirements, configuration, testing, and go-live support.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and support SAP QM implementation activities: requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, cutover, and hypercare support
- Conduct fit-gap analysis and translate business requirements into SAP QM functional specifications and configuration
- Configure and support core QM processes (quality planning, quality inspection, quality notifications, quality certificates, results recording, usage decision, batch/inspection lot processing where applicable)
- Integrate QM with related SAP modules as needed (commonly MM, PP, WM/EWM; plus utilities-relevant flows depending on landscape)
- Develop functional documentation: BRD/FS, configuration rationale, process flows, test scenarios/scripts, training materials, and SOPs
- Coordinate SIT/UAT cycles, defect triage, and resolution with technical and cross-functional teams
- Support data validation, master data readiness, and cutover planning
- Provide post-go-live production support, issue analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations
Required qualifications:
- 7+7+ years of SAP QM functional experience with at least 1–2 full lifecycle implementations (implementation experience required)
- Utilities / Energy domain experience (mandatory)
- Strong hands-on configuration skills in SAP QM and deep understanding of quality processes and controls
- Experience with testing leadership (SIT/UAT), documentation, and stakeholder management
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate clearly with business users and technical teams
- Willingness to relocate to Baton Rouge, LA within 11 month upon request and travel as needed
Preferred / nice to have:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA QM or migration from ECC to S/4
- Exposure to SAP PM, IS-U/utility customer landscapes, or utility operational processes that interact with quality workflows
- Experience with SAP integration topics (IDoc/interface understanding) and collaboration with ABAP/technical teams
- Prior work in regulated or safety-focused utility environments
Compensation: $60.00 per hour
