Senior Data Analyst

Job Description

Our Vancouver client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to join their team, must be available to work onsite.

In this role, you will be the bridge between raw data and actionable strategy, helping us decode the performance and behavior of our clients mobile applications and cloud services. You will leverage cutting-edge ML/AI technologies and robust ETL processes to ensure our products continue to lead the market in customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Insight Infrastructure: Architect and develop comprehensive data dashboards, reliable data sources, and ETL pipelines to power global product analytics.

• Behavioral Analysis: Deep-dive into complex datasets to analyze the performance and user behavior of mobile applications and cloud services.

• Cross-Functional Innovation: Collaborate with diverse teams across the organization to identify new product insights and drive initiatives that improve customer satisfaction worldwide.

• Strategic Problem Solving: Tackle complex business issues by performing in-depth evaluations of variables, exercising expert judgment to select the most effective analytical methods and techniques.

• Advanced Reporting: Utilize the latest ML/AI technologies to generate high-level business reports and predictive insights that influence executive decision-making.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree preferred in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Big Data, Operations Research, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience: 5+ years of industry experience in data analysis or business intelligence, ideally within a product-centric company.

• Technical Stack:

  • SQL & Python: Advanced proficiency in SQL and intermediate skills in Python for data manipulation.

  • Visualization: Expert-level knowledge of Tableau or similar enterprise data visualization tools.

  • Data Engineering: Strong grasp of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and experience with ETL/pipeline tools such as Airflow or Apache Spark.

  • Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience navigating AWS and GCP ecosystems.

• Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to translate data into stories for stakeholders.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Specialized Data: Prior experience handling health data generated by mobile/wearable devices.

• Certifications: Professional certifications in AWS, GCP, or specialized Data Analytics.

• Machine Learning: Practical experience implementing ML/AI models in a production environment.
