Sr. Network Engineer

About the role

Concept Plus is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to manage, coordinate, and perform many aspects of network analysis of needs and services and participates in operations and administration of LAN/WAN infrastructure. This individual will participate in designing solutions, planning, and executing new implementations, working out new product integration and recommending LAN/WAN improvements. They will develop and deploy plans and designs of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This individual must have hands-on experience in supporting Cisco ISE and Firepower appliances, routing and switching, and strong Oracle and/or Google Cloud environment experience. This role requires an on-site presence in Silver Spring, Maryland at least three days per week.

What you'll do

• Proactively identify, diagnose, troubleshoot issues, and develop solutions to implement on customer networks.
• Manage and solve Tier 1 through Tier 3 issues
• Resolve assigned trouble tickets
• Cloud networking and support (GCP and OCI environments)
• Direct and frequent experience with ISE/DNAC is a requirement
• IPv6 security, configuration, and troubleshooting

Qualifications

• US Citizen with active public trust clearance (or qualified to receive one)
• 6+ years of experience in the design of hybrid enterprise networks
• Experience with any of the following cloud technologies: OCI/GCP/AWS
• Good understanding and practical experience with routing protocols (EIGRP, OSFP, and BGP)
• Good understanding and practical experience with switching technologies (EtherChannel, Port Security, 802.1X, MAB)
• Familiarity with Network Security Technologies like ISE, Zero Trust, and firewalls
• Proficient with IP Routing Protocols (OSPFv3, OSPFv2, BGP,), QoS, Multicast, MPLS
• Proficient in VPN technologies - Remote Access and Site-to-Site VPNs
• CCIE in Routing and Switching, and/or CCNP with deep expertise in Cisco ISE deployments within enterprise environments required.
• IPv6 security, configuration, and troubleshooting experience
