Job Title:  Summer Intern - Enterprise Facilities

Department: Sales and Marketing

Accountability:  This position reports to the Vice President, Sales & Marketing 

 

Overview:  Havis, Inc is in need of assistance researching the applicable adjacent markets for its core products. A historically strong presence in the public safety and retail markets, the need for growth and measurement into enterprise fleets, warehouse and logistics, international markets is a key piece to the strategic goals of the organization. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Outreach: Assisting in identifying new business opportunities, researching prospects, and supporting cold outreach via email or phone.
  • Sales Administration: Updating CRM systems, maintaining sales records, and preparing reports on performance metrics.
  • Support & Coordination: Preparing sales presentations, proposals, and marketing materials for client meetings.
  • Learning & Development: Attending sales meetings, workshops, and shadowing professionals to learn negotiation and closing techniques.
  • Market Analysis: Researching competitor activity and market trends. 
  • AI in Sales: Researching how successful sales representatives and sales teams are incorporating AI into their daily tasks to make their jobs more efficient


Typical Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Current or future enrollment (incoming Freshmen can apply) in a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, WORD, PowerPoint) and, ideally, familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce.
  • Attributes: Proactive, self-starter, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Dates, Time Commitment, Travel and Work Location

  • Start date between late May and early June of 2026
  • Completion date of early August to early September of 2026
  • Weekly commitment of (16) to (24) hours per week
  • No paid vacations, but understood that intern may take unpaid vacation during the internship
  • Travel to Burnsville, MN for initial training and final week is required
  • Ideal candidate is in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul area or the Chicagoland area
  • Intern can work remotely, but must report to the Director of Sales daily with task list and accomplishments for the day


Compensation and Tools

  • Hourly rate of $20 per hour based on experience
  • Travel costs to Burnsville, MN would be paid for by Havis
  • A laptop will be provided to Intern for the duration of their internship 
  • Internet and Phone expenses are the responsibility of the intern
