Position Title: Curriculum Lead
Allocation: There is an allocation of one (1) position at each school.
Reports To: Building Principal
Purpose: The purpose of the Curriculum Lead is to support the curriculum review process from discovery and ideation through field testing and implementation, specifically focusing on the integration of Digital Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI). By applying the SAMR Model (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition), this role ensures that technology transitions from a functional tool to a transformative element of instruction. The Lead ensures alignment with educational standards and provides ongoing feedback and support to teachers to enhance instructional practices and advance student achievement through innovative, tech-enabled learning.

Lead the curriculum review process, focusing on how AI and digital tools can redefine traditional learning tasks.
Ensure curriculum aligns with district, state, and national standards, while promoting a culture of dignity, belonging, and responsible AI use.
Collaborate with teachers to develop digital instructional materials and AI-augmented resources that support effective pedagogy.
Facilitate field testing of new digital curriculum materials and AI-driven platforms, gathering feedback to inform iterative revisions.
Guide the implementation of new technology, providing "just-in-time" guidance and professional development.
Monitor implementation effectiveness through classroom observations (focused on SAMR levels), teacher feedback, and student performance data.
Lead professional learning sessions focused on Digital Learning strategies and AI literacy for staff.
Provide ongoing coaching and support to teachers, helping them move from "Enhancement (Substitution/Augmentation) to "Transformation" (Modification/Redefinition) in their tech use.
Provide continuous feedback to teachers on enhancing instructional practices through the strategic use of AI and digital media.
Collaborate with instructional coaches and leadership to ensure consistent digital implementation across grade levels.
Facilitate reflective conversations about how technology and AI can be leveraged to advance a Culture of Dignity and Belonging.
Foster a culture of collaboration among teachers and stakeholders regarding educational technology trends and curriculum development.
Lead ongoing professional learning focused on digital assessment practices and AI-enhanced instructional strategies.
Evaluate curriculum effectiveness in a digital landscape and recommend adjustments to support evolving student needs.
Work with teachers to ensure assessments are aligned with curriculum objectives and leverage digital tools for real-time feedback.
Use data from digital assessments and AI analytics to evaluate student progress and identify areas for intervention or curriculum refinement.
Additional Time: Requires additional time beyond regular responsibilities and contract hours.
