Position: Technology Support Internship
Schedule: June-August 2026 (25-30 hours a week)
Location: District Administration Building/ High School
Reports to: Director of Technology
Summary: Provide Technology Support for the Upper St. Clair School.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Support
- Assist with troubleshooting and resolving basic hardware, software, and network issues.
- Respond to support tickets or requests from staff and students.
- Set up and configure computers, printers, and other peripherals.
- Provide classroom technology support, including projectors, interactive whiteboards, and document cameras.
- Hardware/Software Deployment
- Help image and deploy new computers and devices across the district.
- Support summer technology refreshes or large-scale rollouts.
- Assist with Chromebook or laptop distribution and inventory.
- Install and update software applications as directed.
- Network and Systems Support
- Assist IT staff with maintaining wiring closets and network cabling (as permitted).
- Help monitor and log network issues.

Support wireless access point testing or troubleshooting under supervision.
- Inventory and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and asset tags.
- Assist with updating documentation for internal systems and processes.

Perform audits of classroom and technology equipment.
- User Training and Support
- Provide basic guidance to users on how to use new technology tools or applications.

Assist with developing “how-to” guides or videos for staff or student use.
- Project Assistance

Participate in specific IT projects (e.g., Wi-Fi upgrades, software migrations).
Provide support for special events, including setup and takedown of AV/tech equipment.
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or college program related to Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Previous experience working with computers and troubleshooting is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interest in educational technology.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and work independently.
- Familiarity with Windows, Chrome OS, and/or macOS environments.
